Mongolia is a stunning but tough country. We were exhausted by the time we'd reached the river crossing and had spent 10 minutes working out how to best cross the icy cold water. These children, stripped to the waist, waded in, crossed the river and then wanted to play and check out the camera. Kids have a way of putting problems into perspective.
We travelled through Pakistan with a armed escort, it was an interesting experience and one I was able to photograph with military approval.
