Stopping to take photos was risky as we crossed Australia via it's longest axis, from the northeast tip, diagonally to the south-west tip. Water and fuel were a constant issue and running out could have been deadly. But this endless track and the giant termite mound were reason enough. The was a brutal ride.
I had to pull over and shoot Lisa as she rode through this archway of silver birch as we rode north on America's Continental Divide Trail.
