After reaching a freezing Prudhoe Bay, which is as far north as you can ride in the America's, we turned south and headed for Fairbanks. With vast storm clouds belting the landscape with hail stones we knew we could only snatch a few images of this incredible sky as we rushed to out-run the worst of it.
Riding south through Baja, Mexico, we'd stopped off to celebrate new years Eve at Coco's Corner, a legendary but simple location made famous by the size of the personality that lives here, Coco. This was our spectacular sunset as we sipped on cold ceveza's and waived the year adios.
Mongolia is stunning but brutal. The Mongolian term for the deadliest storms is 'Zud'. Running late in the season, we rode our arses off and left the heat of Gobi Desert to reach the freezing ice storms of Mongolia's north-west territory before the weather cut off our access to the Russian border. The Zud which chased across the Altai Mountain range was ferocious, and this was one of the few images we captured of experience.
